Black homeownership is lower today than it was in the 1960s. Together, we can improve minority access to credit and homeownership by increasing minority representation in the mortgage industry.

Keystone Mortgage Academy’s 3-month training program provides the instruction and skills for you to thrive in the industry, from core principles to the nuances of working in minority communities.

Gain a strong foundation in the industry

    Curriculum

    Students will prepare for testing and licensing in mortgage loan origination by learning about loan terminology and structuring, the application process, industry technologies, marketing, sales, the history of black banking challenges and more.

    Online & In-Person Instruction

    Our program combines onsite and virtual instruction. Students are required to attend in-person classes 3 nights per week. 2 additional nights per week are devoted to online assignments and collaboration. Reliable internet and transportation are necessary.

    Job Placement

    We place students with minority-owned mortgage brokers and lenders who are active in diverse communities for internships and subsequent job placement.

Pave a new path forward

Our next session will be held from 9/18–12/22/23 at George Washington High School in Denver. Applications are due July 15, 2023. Qualified students are eligible for scholarships. Future sessions will open in additional regions throughout the country.
